Wrocław has more than 670,000 inhabitants, thus being the third largest city in Poland. It is a university city with a student population of over 130,000, attending 29 higher education institutions, both public and private ones.
Owing to its location on the banks of the Oder River and its tributaries, Wrocław is called the city of bridges – it has 101 bridges and 33 footbridges. The city has many tourist attractions – Market Square with its two Town Halls, Cathedral, Opera House, Centennial Hall (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site) or the Zoo (the oldest zoological garden in Poland) with the Africarium – to mention just a few.
Numerous companies have decided to locate their businesses and logistics or service centres in Wrocław, as the city offers a high number of university graduates, lots of facilities for business and good transport infrastructure and connections.

Costs: There are no additional tuition costs for studying at Nicolaus Copernicus University. Additional costs that must be considered are accommodations, meals, and cost of living.
Additional Information: The mobility starts with the Orientation Days, during which students can become familiar with the University and staff taking care of them. Even before they come to Wrocław, students are in touch with the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) members. Thanks to ESN, our foreign students can participate in numerous events, allowing them to integrate and get to know our city, Poland and the Polish culture. One of the courses offered to foreign students is the Polish language course.
