About the University

The IAE Savoie Mont Blanc and the business world, a strong relationship

The Institute was born in 1991 from the desire of a dozen business leaders of our territory to see the development of a university institute training the executives needed by the local economy. This is how the IUP Commerce-Vente and the Club des Entreprises were jointly born. 30 years later, the IAE and the whole University Savoie Mont Blanc continue to work daily with the Club des Entreprises which brings together an exceptional network of nearly 1,000 companies. This unique and innovative partnership facilitates the relationship between the student and the company, the organisation of events with high added value and professional integration.

About the Location

Located between Lyon and Grenoble, on the borders of Switzerland and Italy, Savoie Mont Blanc University is a major player in the intellectual and cultural, social and economic development of its territory. Thanks to the close and constructive links it has forged with other local, regional and national players, Savoie Mont Blanc University is today a key partner in the academic dynamics of a French-speaking area that goes beyond borders, as demonstrated by its European university project.

An Institute anchored in its territory : located in the heart of the two Savoy and Genevois, extremely dynamic territories in economic and demographic terms, the IAE also offers training open to specific sectors such as industry, tourism, hospitality and event organization. Taking advantage of its cross-border location, the IAE Savoie Mont Blanc also offers training in partnership with Swiss universities, particularly in the field of continuing education for executives seeking new skills.

Student Life

Student Housing: The Pôle mobilité entrante can help you in your search for accommodation in a university residence (only for students under exchange agreement).

Due to the number of applications we receive each year and the small number of rooms available in university residences, it is unfortunately not possible to satisfy all applications.

Applications are processed on a first come, first served basis.
In order to optimise your chances of finding accommodation, please respect the application deadlines when you pre-register at the Université Savoie Mont Blanc.

If your application is accepted, we will put you in contact with the university residence. In this case, you will have to pay the deposit to confirm your accommodation, otherwise the room will be allocated to another student.

For information: At the end of June 2020, all students who asked for help in their search for accommodation were offered accommodation for the start of the 2020/2021 academic year.
