ProfiPlus@HHN has been established in 2024 in the framework of the DAAD ProfiPlus Programme, that is designed to enable German higher education institutions to offer international academics proven qualification to take up a profession in Germany.

It is aimed at students from selected countries with at least a bachelor degree in engineering or informatics/computer sciences.

The programme is intended to contribute to the following goals:

  • Matching the qualifications of international academics to the subject-related requirements of the German labour market.
  • Educationally adequate integration of highly qualified international academics into the German labour market.
  • Attracting international, academically trained professionals for the German labour market.

At Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences (HHN), the programme consists of four pillars:

  • Identification and preparation of interested students in the final year in their home country
  • An orientation semesters together with our partners, with language and cultural training and professional content out of one of the master programmes at HHN, including support in search for a placement
  • Optional master programme (3 or 4 semesters depending on the background) with integrated training/internship in a partner company (track to recruitment)
  • Optional courses in lifelong education: master-level courses in engineering for professionals from abroad who already have their placements
