Orientation Semester

Which study programme is the right one for me?

You have finished secondary school or high school and are wondering what to do next? The University Orientation Semester (HORSE) at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences will help you decide what to study. For one semester, you can attend courses in the fields of engineering, business and computer science and find out which study programme suits you best!

The Orientation Semester gives you chance to get to know numerous study programmes at HHN. Furthermore, you experience campus life and even have the opportunity to take exams. This eases the transition to a subsequent study programme.

Instead of having to decide on a specific subject area or study programme, the Orientation Semester enables you to take part in the wide range of courses on offer, as well as in excursions, practical laboratory exercises or colloquia and lectures in basic subjects. Ultimately this will enable you to make a sustainable decision about your future study programme.

During the Orientation Semester, you will take part in various courses such as lectures, practical laboratory exercises, excursions and colloquia. You can individually select which courses from the participating study programmes in the fields of engineering, computer science and business you would like to attend and which are of interest to you in order to find out what suits you best.
