Information for Incomings
Every year, the Faculty of Engineering welcomes engineering students from all over the world. Both the professional and intercultural exchange are most valuable for our students and our academic staff. Together, we seek to establish a learning environment that complements our strengths: interdisciplinarity, on-site learning and teaching as well as strong industry links.
The Faculty of Engineering offers Bachelor and Master programmes in the following fields:
As an exchange student, you can select courses throughout the whole faculty. Furthermore, lectures from other faculties can be chosen upon agreement. The language of teaching is German. However, a varying range of courses is offered in English, amounting to 30 ECTS per semester.
As a degree seeking student you run the same curriculum as any other student at our university.
Both refer to the pages of the international office (below) for more information about details of your application either as exchange student or as degree seeking student.
We offer tailor-made opportunities for your academic development. Choose from different durations and decide on a practical or a more research-oriented focus.
For all our study programmes, we offer both Bachelor and Master degrees. No matter which field you choose, you will benefit from a high degree of interdisciplinarity and practical relevance.
Due to our broad range of excellent laboratories and our collaboration with industry and university partners, we can provide an attractive research environment.
The International Office is the central institution at Heilbronn University of Applied Sciences that cares for exchange activities. Get information about application, enrollment, housing, visa, insurance, and scholarships from your international coordinators there.
The International Student Support provides services for international degree-seeking students who intend to complete their entire Bachelor's or Master's study programme at HHN.
For our incoming students our faculty offers a variety of different courses and internships in English (see list). Please note that some courses are only offered in summer or winter semester. Courses at other faculties are also possible on request.
All incoming students should attend a German language course if they have already lived in Germany for six months. This is the only way to get to know the country and its people properly!
