MIBIM Admission Requirements
The following requirements must be satisfied to gain admission into the following Master of Science programmes at the Faculty of International Business:
Academic Requirements:
An excellent or good first degree in Business Studies or in a business-related discipline (210 ECTS* credits and a German average grade of 2.5 or better or an equivalent international qualification). At least 50% of the Bachelor courses need to be related to business (Management, Economics, Finance, Controlling, Marketing).
The admission process will be based on the first degree/Bachelor's degree. Master's degrees will not be taken into consideration.
Applicants holding a degree with only 180 ECTS have the opportunity to obtain the missing 30 ECTS during the Master Programme by attending additional subjects offered by the Faculty of International Business.

Language Requirements:
The programme is completely taught in English. In order to assure a high quality of English in the Master's course, applicants are required to prove a high proficiency in English by one of the following:
- TOEFL- minimum scores: 550 (paper-based version) / 213 (computer-based version) / 79 (internet version) - (Heilbronn University's TOEFL code is 2751)
- IELTS- minimum level 6.0
- Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English (CAE)- minimum grade C
- Cambridge CPE (Certificate of Proficiency in English) min. C2
- Oxford Test of English (OTE)- minimum score of 120 and level B2 in all modules (Heilbronn University is an approved test center for the OTE. Find out more here: https://www.hs-heilbronn.de/ote)
- An official document (written in the English or German language) proving one of the following:
- A school-leaving certificate or university entrance qualification equivalent (high school diploma, Abitur, etc.) from an English-speaking school.
- A professionally qualifying degree (Bachelor's or equivalent) from a university course of at least three years' duration with English-language coursework and examinations amounting to at least 180 ECTS credits or equivalent.
Proof of English language proficiency must be submitted by the application deadline, and cannot be submitted later.. No other test or forms of proof will be considered for admission.
**The language certificate requirement applies to all students wishing to study in our programme, including exchange students.**
Desirable Experiences:
If their first degree meets the entry requirements, applicants who have been trained in course-related jobs or have successfully studied abroad may receive bonus points for:
- Work experience, preferably in course-related areas, after completion of your Bachelor's programme
- International experience - working or studying abroad as part of your Bachelor's programme
The bonus points may facilitate the admission to the Master Programme.
