‘Family-friendly’ is not merely a slogan at Heilbronn University. In a long-term certification process, we have established structures that support parents and caring relatives in finding good, mutually compatible solutions. The Family Service is the first point of contact for all questions around studying and working as a parent.
Heilbronn University has been a certified member of audit family-friendly university since 2005. We strive to achieve the best possible study and working conditions for parents and people who care for relatives.
In the autumn holidays of 2024, the Children's Bring Along Day took place at HHN for the first time. There were various activities at three locations for children who had accompanied their parents to the office or lecture theatre on this day.
Two more Bring Your Child Days are being planned for 2025.
People who suddenly have to assume responsibility for relatives in need of care have many questions. The care coordinators are a first point of contact.
Part-time studies, extension of the study period or a semester of leave of absence can be easily arranged for student parents. The Family Service will find a suitable model with you.
We welcome children on the campus. The parent-child rooms offer space for play, work and relaxation when children come to the university.
We work together with various partners to ensure that all university children are well looked after.
The HHN children's suitcase is available at all locations. Further information can be found under the button.
