HHN celebrated the diversity of campus life with four action days in May and June, setting an example for cosmopolitanism, diversity and acceptance.
HHN was successful in the most important funding program for more women in science and research, the Female Professors Program 2030.
In January 2024, the Equality and Diversity Unit will conduct a survey among all members of the university. Central topics include the perception of HHN's diversity climate and the experience of discrimination.
We set ourselves clear targets on equality and check these against key performance indicators. Equal treatment is ensured, for example, by transparent procedures and the consistent involvement of equal opportunities officers.
Respectful cooperation is the basis for working and learning together. People who experience discrimination or bullying are able to approach the appropriate contact points in confidence.
In our cross-mentoring programme, WoMent, company managers support women students on their way into the jobs market.
Family justice is an important concern for us. We implement this consistently with needs-oriented offers for the different target groups at the HHN on a permanent basis.
The representatives for students with disabilities, support students with disabilities or chronic illnesses in finding individual solutions.
The room of silence are a place to pause, retreat or pray. Everyone is welcome.
We are a university full of potential that needs to be discovered and encouraged. Diversity is a strength in the way we work together. That is why we welcome everyone, regardless of gender, age, personal biography and lifestyle, ethnic or religious background and physical abilities. Respectful interaction and the positive recognition of diversity are our core values. By actively managing diversity, we enable diversity to be lived in all areas of the university. Together, we are committed to creating a university that is equal opportunities, open to the world and critical of discrimination.
