Accreditation in higher education is a tool of external quality assurance. The quality of the study programmes is evaluated by third-party agencies and independent experts.
All study programmes offered by the Faculty of International Business have been accredited at the national level. They bear the quality seal of the German Accreditation Council (Akkreditierungsrat). The certification was last awarded in 2017 by the Accreditation, Certification and Quality Assurance Institute ACQUIN e.V. and is expected to be renewed in 2024 in the course of a re-accreditation process.
In addition, the Bachelor's programme International Business - Intercultural Studies (B. A.) bears the globally recognised EFMD Accredited seal of quality, which was granted to the programme for the first time by the European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) in March 2021. The seal serves as a testament of the IBIS programme's high quality standards and academic aspirations, its international orientation, its high level of practical relevance as well as its integration of up-to-date study content in the fields of ethics and sustainability.
As a member of the EFMD global network, the Faculty International Business offers all its students and alumni the access to the international digital career platform Highered.
