Our Slogan

We have all felt "wrong" at some point in our lives: in a place, in a group or on a topic. Based on this experience, we want to make it clear: when people enter our university, they are welcome.
With all their individuality and with all their abilities, regardless of origin, sexuality, disability, age, body shape or ethnicity.

Impressions from Diversity Day 2023

An der Treppe sind längliche bunte Bodensticker geklebt, sodass sie einen Regenbogen darstellen. Ein weiterer quadratischer Bodensticker ist etwas weiter vor der Treppe, worauf "Du bist hier richtig!" steht.

Ein Foto der Mitmach-Station: "Was sagst du?". Auf einem Tisch sind Flyer und Postkarten ausgelegt. AN dem Tisch ist ein großes Poster für die Station mit der Beschreibung "Endlich die richtigen Antworten auf ewig gleiche Stamtischparolen." angebracht. Dahinter sind zwei Pinnwände. AN einer ist ein Poster für "Diskriminierungsschutz an der Hochschule Heilbronn" befestigt. An der anderen Pinnwand sind Flyer und ein großes Poster für die App "Konterbunt" angebracht.

Eine Pinnwand der Mitmach-Aktion "Kannst du es beschreiben?" Auf dem Poster steht: "Nicht alle Menschen sehen das Gleiche wie Du. Wie gut kannst Du Bilder beschreiben?" Um das Poster herum sind die Ergebnisse: Gemalte Bilder, die durch Bildbeschreibungen entstanden sind.

Auf einer Landkarte, wurde mit Kugelschreiber "Kurdistan" eingezeichnet und beschriftet. Sticker in Herzform wurden in mehreren Ländern geklebt.

Auf einem blauen Bodensticker steht das Zitat von William Sloan Coffin Jr. "Diversity may be the hardest thing for society to live with and perhaps the most dangerous thing for a society to be without." Darunter ist ein Regenbogen-Herz

from 9:00 a.m. "Diversity Campus" with a variety of hands-on activities, including a "Gaming" booth, "Home of the Heart" map, diversity calendar, art activity, Diversity ABC, quiz and much more.

17:00–18:30 p.m. "Education for All? Creating Access in a Diverse Society", panel discussion with Vice Chancellor Oliver Lenzen, author and educator

On both days, the cafeteria at the Sontheim Campus and Bildungscampus also offers a particularly diverse menu, including Serbian, Mexican, and Indian national dishes, among others.

As a highlight of Diversity Day 2023, within the framework of the conversation series "wOrte wechseln," a panel discussion on the topic of educational equity takes place.

Rector Oliver Lenzen, author and educator Florence Brokowski-Shekete, student and volunteer worker at arbeiterkind.de Josh Haberkern, come together to discuss the existing barriers within the education system, as well as how we can create better access and greater equity of opportunity. The discussion will focus on the individual, institutional, and structural levels. The panel will be moderated by Sarah Bergh.

During this event, an FM system will be used to support individuals with hearing impairments.

The Diversity Day 23 at the HHN takes place within the nationwide German Diversity Day 2023, which is organised for the 11th time by the Charta der Vielfalt initiative.
