This specialization is aimed in particular at students who wish to pursue a career path characterized by international cooperation and collaboration. The specialization can be taken if you have completed at least 15 and a maximum of 20 credits at one of our numerous partner universities; if possible and after consultation with our partner university supervisors, these should be related to ASE. This is currently possible in Coventry (UK) and Indianapolis (USA) in particular. We have further partners in Egypt, China, France, Georgia, Great Britain, Cuba, Jordan, Latvia, Slovenia, Spain, South Africa, South Korea, Taiwan and other countries. Other subjects (e.g. languages) can of course also be taken abroad. With this specialization, you will demonstrate that you are able to move around in a foreign culture abroad and achieve subject-related achievements. During your stay abroad for one semester, you will get to know the host country intensively. Up to 20 ECTS in any technical subjects at the partner university can be recognized as electives. You can obtain additional credits if you take subjects at the partner university that are equivalent to our compulsory subjects and that you have not yet taken in Heilbronn. If you do not bring 20 ECTS with you from abroad, you must take the other electives from the ASE program, at least 5 of which must be in English (e.g. human-machine interface, powertrain, multi-body simulation).
