All enrolled students - also during the semester abroad, internships and leave of absence semesters
You must be enrolled or matriculated to register for the thesis. If no further examinations are open, you can also sit them in the de-registered or exmatriculated status. Please note, however, that in this case you no longer have student status (university library, health insurance, ...)
Under Section 12 of the State University Fees Act (LHGebG), the university charges an administrative fee of EUR 70.00 for each semester. This fee is due for payment upon enrolment or re-registration.
If you renounce your place on the course or you de-register within one month of the beginning of the lecture period, the administrative fee can be reimbursed upon request.
Under Section 2 of the fee regulations of the Heidelberg Student Union, the student union fee is EUR 59.00.
It consists of EUR 44.00 for internal administration by the Studierendenwerk plus EUR 15.00 for external services (student ticket). The student union fee is due for payment when you enrol or re-register.
If the student union fee is paid without enrollment or de-registration before or within two weeks of the start of the semester, the student union fee can be reimbursed. You must apply for reimbursement directly to the Heidelberg Student Union. The AStA (General Student Committee) of Heilbronn University also has a fee of EUR 25.00 to fulfil its tasks. This fee is due for enrolment or re-registration.
If you waive your place at the university or if you de-register (exmatriculate) within one month of the beginning of the lecture period, the fee for the AStA fee can be reimbursed upon request.
