The fields of engineering and business are united under the umbrella of the Faculty of Engineering and Business at Heilbronn University. The close cooperation between these two pillars offers far-reaching opportunities in teaching and research. This can be seen, for example, in interdisciplinary degree programmes that prepare students in the best possible way for the diverse requirements of the job market. Research institutions such as the Institute of Digitalisation and Electric Drives also benefit from this set-up.
A total of ten bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes from the fields of engineering and business are currently offered on campus.
The Künzelsau campus was established in 1988 as a location of the current Heilbronn University. Since 2005, it has been supported by the “Foundation for the Promotion of the Reinhold-Würth-Hochschule of Heilbronn University in Künzelsau”. In appreciation of the entrepreneur Prof. Dr. h. c. mult. Reinhold Würth, the campus also bears the name “Reinhold-Würth-Hochschule”.This financial support enables development in teaching and research as well as international networking, which exceeds what comparable educational institutions offer.
The Heilbronn-Franken region is home to numerous medium-sized and large companies operating successfully worldwide. Over the last few years, the Hohenlohe district has developed into an attractive and important “region of global market leaders” and offers research and teaching with a strong practical orientation.
On the Künzelsau campus, interaction between students, faculty and staff is characterised by a personal atmosphere that makes you feel like being part of a family. More than 1,500 young people study on campus and benefit from the high quality of the courses on offer and the exemplary supervision provided by the approximately 50 professors and 60 academic staff members. As a result, students can enhance their professional and personal skills and fully develop their individual potential.
