In order to accelerate student admission and visa processing for Indian students, the German government introduces the Academic Evaluation Centre (APS), attached to the Science Section of the German Embassy in New Delhi.
From November 1st onwards, APS certificates will be a mandatory part of the documents to be submitted with your visa application. The visa section has already updated the checklist for students, see here.
The APS will be open for applications beginning October 1st, 2022. For more detailed information on how to obtain the mandatory APS certificate, please consult www.aps-india.de Please bear in mind that the visa section will not answer any queries regarding the APS.
Applicants need an APS certificate before booking an appointment to submit a visa application from November 1stonwards.

Due to the new application procedure, we, unfortunately, need to close this waitlist in order to release appointment slots under the new categories. These slots will be available for booking from October 1stonwards.
Once you have completed the APS procedure, please book a new appointment on the VFS website.
To ensure that only applicants who went through the correct admissions process book an appointment, you will need to enter your unique APS case number given on the certificate into the booking system.

Applicants with a first degree from a non-German institute must prove, before applying to Heilbronn University, that their Bachelor’s degree is equivalent to a German first degree. This means they have to apply twice – once at the Studienkolleg Konstanz and once at our university. In order to have the qualifications validated, please contact the Studienkolleg – Center for International Students in Konstanz.
The Center for International Students will assess their Bachelor's degree and decide if it meets the requirements for entering a Master's degree program in Germany.

Your application can only be considered if all required documents (including the certification of the Studienkolleg Konstanz) reached Heilbronn University on the due date (January 15th for the summer semester and July 15th for the winter semester). Please note that theses are cut-off periods.
We require a first degree of 210 ETCS credits. Applicants with a first degree in computer science who have achieved a minimum of 180 ECTS credits may also apply! They will be requested to obtain an extra 30 ECTS credits in appropriate Bachelor program at Heilbronn University (e.g. in the Bachelor's program Software Engineering) or by conducting a six month internship in a company or in one of our research institutes.
As the Master´s program is entirely delivered in English, it is particularly suitable for applicants from the EU and overseas who are eligible for postgraduate studies in Germany.
